Photoshooting in Lisbon with Anastasiia

During my vacation in Lisbon, where Anastasiia lives, we had the idea to take advantage of the opportunity and do a photo shoot for the metaFlora storyboard, a comic book we’re working on. The first day was quite different from what we expected: it started out sunny, perfect for capturing epic shots in nature, on the edge of a cliff. However, the wind and rain soon changed our plans.

Determined to make the most of the morning, we kept going for about an hour, but the rain became relentless. Soaked and with our gear wet, we gathered our things and took shelter in a cozy mountain café. Despite the unpredictable weather, we managed to get some shots of warrior outfits in nature that saved the day.

For the second photoshoot, we decided to avoid the stress of weather uncertainty and opted for a studio instead. This change brought a completely different experience. Working in a controlled environment allowed Anastasiia to show her professionalism in a new setting, easily adapting to costume changes and direction. The creative energy flowed, and we were able to capture some incredible images.

I believe we managed to capture the essence of the character in her different stages: from an innocent young girl, through her transformation into a woman, her ascension as queen, and finally her decision to become a warrior.

Outdoor Photoshooting Caparica coast

The first shots with Anastasiia were taken on the Costa de Caparica on the edge of a ravine, in Portugal. Unfortunately the rain played a trick on us and after getting wet we decided to end the photoshoot, but we still managed to get some very beautiful shots.
